“The term (terrorism) has virtually nothing to do with the act itself and everything to do with the identity of the actor especially his or her religious identity. It has really come to mean: “A Muslim who fight against or even express hostility towards United States, Israel and their allies….,” Glenn Greenwald in Salon.com, February 19, 2010.After launching an illegal war on the pretext of Saddam's Chemical weapons - it is the US who used it against the innocent people of Fallujah. The Israelis have also used such weapons in Gaza against the civilian population. These are acts of real terrorism on a mass scale.

The recent series of programme televised mainly by the BBC and Channel 4, covering the Muslims in Britain, points to a single agenda of marketing the notion of ‘extremist’ views of some Muslims. What is an extremist view? There is no open discussion on that point; any Muslim is labelled as an extremist for showing sympathy towards the oppressed masses who are fighting for ‘freedom’ in the occupied lands of Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq.Such views are not specific to Muslims, many non-Muslims and in particular the leftwing organisations, express similar views and sentiment on Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan. However, they are never labelled as extremists. It means - if the white face of George Galloway is replaced with an ethnic face, then you have an extremist who has been radicalised! It is funny how George Galloway is never classed as a militant, someone who is radicalised, or an extremist, even though he expresses such opinions so candidly.
Roger Tucker argues that Zionism and Nazism are "identical manifestations of the same basic pathology" and that they are "equally dangerous to the well being of humanity". He says that although Zionism ultimately cannot sustain itself, to be complacent would risk inflicting "immense harm" on humanity.Tension in the occupied Palestinian territories rose significantly this week following a decision by the rightwing Israeli government to add two ancient mosques in the West Bank to a list of alleged Jewish heritage sites. The two mosques are the Bilal Ibn Rabah Mosque, which Israelis call Rachel's Tomb, near Bethlehem, and the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, named after the patriarch Ibrahim (Abraham), widely considered the common forefather of both the ancient Hebrews and northern Arabs.
The Hebron mosque, site of a massacre of Arab worshipers by a Jewish terrorist in 1994, is widely considered the fourth most important Islamic shrine, coming directly after the Sacred Mosque in Mecca, the Prophet's Mosque in Medina (both in Saudi Arabia), and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Had Monday's car bomb exploded in London it would have been inflated into a terrorist atrocity, fuel for the Afghan war. An explosion, then silence. Next come the shouts and the sirens. It is another bomb. Oh God, people cry, is anyone dead? On this occasion, no. But Northern Ireland sees a terrorist incident, a bombing or a shooting, twice week, double the rate of a year ago. Someone is charged with terrorism every six days. Each time, local leaders are summoned to plead for calm. Each outrage is dismissed as the work of criminal dissidents and described as "a matter for the police". Nothing must disrupt the narrative of normalcy.
Terrorism in Northern Ireland is nowadays hardly reported because it has rightly been redefined as a crime. The terrorist must be denied the oxygen of publicity. And it works. If Monday's court-house bombing in Newry had been perpetrated on a public building in London there would have been pandemonium. Security chiefs would have been summoned. Doors would have been kicked down in immigrant suburbs and "suspects" arrested.
